New starting 2017:
For those players who would like to “play up” (play in the league above their age group) then please have the player attend the placements for the league he/she wishes to play. The player will be assessed and if the judging panel does not feel he/she is ready to move up then the parent will be notified that the player will need to play in the league for their age group. This decision will be based off of skill and maturity level both; it is for the safety of the player. Safety is our number one priority so we appreciate your cooperation and understanding with this.
We are in a new league for minor/major boys this year so it’s important we have everyone signed up before Saturday, 03/04/17. This league will be played Alma and east. This is the same league girls minor/major played in last year but this year the girls will also play Alma east. We are trying our best to keep everyone close to home. Both girls and boys numbers need to be given to the league organizers by 03/04/17 (it takes a lot of time to put together multiple teams from multiple towns so it’s important to get signed up now) – sign up today!!!!
For the younger players – we are opening tball up to 4 year olds with hopes of having a 4-5 age group and then a 6 year old tball group who will play 1/2 tball & 1/2 coach pitch. This is not set in stone; it will all depend on numbers so please sign up today!!
Placements will be MANDATORY for your child if he/she is playing anything above coach-pitch. Here’s how placements work: each child will be assessed and given a score of 1-5 (only coaches know these scores) then the coaches go through each group of scores and divides that group onto the teams as equally as possible, then they go to the next group of scores and does the same until all score groups are divided amongst the teams as equally as possible. The goal is to even the teams out with kids of all skill levels. (i.e. if there are 6 kids that all are 1’s, 9 kids that are all 2’s and 3 teams then each team will have 2 players with a score of 1 and 3 players that had scores of 2 .)
Please print/sign/turn-in a picture release form! (This way we can post pictures of your child playing ball!) You can email it to: email@example.com
